Hi there. I’m Niki. Welcome to my little corner of the blogosphere.

A little bit about me.

I’m 24 and live (near) the nation’s capital. I graduated from Temple University two years ago with a degree in public relations. With a job offer and degree in hand, I packed up my life into boxes and the day after graduation, moved from Philly to the D.C. area with my then-fiancé and our two cats, Winston and Sophie.

By day I’m a special events coordinator at a nonprofit organization for animals. I’ve been an animal lover my entire life, so I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect job. By night, I’m a DIY crafter, home decorator, culinary adventurer, occasional Netflix addict and dinner party hostess.

I love a good book, movie-in-your-pajamas-marathons, and a competitive game of trivia. I’m a self-declared news junkie, I love a good, strong, cocktail and I’m not afraid to admit that I’m a crazy cat lady. I’m a type A, OCD, control freak but every now and then I’ll embrace life’s messes.

I have an amazing husband who I have been with for eight years, since I was 16-years-old. He makes me laugh and reminds me on a daily basis to slow down and enjoy the ride.

I am a Parisian at heart, but Italian by blood and nothing makes me happier than a bottle of Chardonnay and a bowl of pasta smothered in cheese. Sometimes I like to pretend I’m Julia Child in the kitchen while I whip up recipes and shout things in French.

When I’m not fawning over home décor blogs, checking out farmer’s markets, enjoying a good book or taking a thousand pictures of my cats, you’ll find me on here as I write about my adventures, my mistakes and the lessons I’ve picked up along the way.
